MBA Eve/Week Admission Policy

KASBIT practices a rolling admission policy, accepting qualified applicants until the class is filled in all programs involving first year admission and in most programs involving transfer admission. Applicants for first-year admission are reviewed for their acceptability as soon as all necessary materials are received by the Admission Office and are notified shortly thereafter concerning the admission decision. KASBIT admits students of any gender, race, color, sex, age, handicap, and national or ethnic origin.

Admission Requirements for First Year Students

Every applicant for first year admission must present evidence of satisfactory completion of recognized University degree or evidence showing waiting for final result of or its equivalent.

Minimum Academic Entrance Requirements

Minimum 45% marks secured in recognized University degree or equivalent.

Entrance Exam

All applicants for admission are required to clear the admission entrance exam with at least 50% marks. Details concerning the test are available in the admission form instructions.

Personal Interview

KASBIT reserves the right to award the admission after a personal interview.

How and When to Apply

Students may apply for admission by obtaining admission form and prospectus available at the KASBIT Admission Office. The application form must be completed as described in the instructions and returned to the admission office. Since the KASBIT follows the rolling admission policy, applicants are urged to apply during the Spring or Fall semester in which they intend to enroll. Acceptable applicants who apply for admission after a class is filled will be placed on a waiting list. An applicant may only request reactivation of a previously submitted application up to one year from the original application date, and no more than two reactivations may occur on an original application form.

How to Enroll

Applicants accepted for first-year admission must fulfill all financial obligations to secure a guaranteed place for the new semester. Due to the limited number of seats in our professional programs, enrollment reservation deposits received after commencement of classes will be honored only if space allows. Refer to your acceptance letter for the specific date that the financial obligations are due.

Registration Policy

KASBIT reserves the right to make, at any time, changes in admission requirements, fees, charges, tuition, regulations and academic programs, if deemed necessary, prior to the start of any class. KASBIT also reserves the right to divide, cancel, reschedule classes, or reassign instructors if enrollment or other factors require. If course cancellations occur, students will be notified in order to adjust their schedules.


New post-graduate students will register for the fall and spring semesters as part of the New Student Orientation Program. New post-graduate students will receive all necessary information how to register in semester courses during orientation sessions. At the beginning of next semester registration notice will be published by the Registrar prior to the registration of courses which specifies the time periods and fees for late registration. Students are responsible for the dates and should contact the Registrar’s Office if they need information to avoid late fees. During the semester, students will receive information regarding course offerings for the following academic year. After consulting with academic advisors, students will submit their course registration form in the Registrar’s office. Students are responsible for the accuracy of their course registration and for processing changes by the appropriate deadlines.


Students are expected to attend all their scheduled classes and not to be absent without adequate reason. A minimum 75% attendance is required in each course registered during the semester. A student who is not meeting the minimum attendance requirement or absent from a class without adequate reason may be restricted from attempting the final examination and may be subject to shortage of attendance policy if applicable.

Withdrawing from a course

Withdrawing from a course will result in F grade being posted to the student’s academic record.

Academic Load

During the Spring and Fall semesters (16 Weeks), KASBIT considers 15 credit hours as the minimum and 18 credit hours as maximum course load necessary to constitute full time Post-graduate course registration. For Summer Semester (8 Weeks), KASBIT considers 3 credit hours as the minimum and 6 credit hours as maximum course load necessary to constitute full time registration. The Guideline of HED is followed.


Prerequisites, if any, are included in the course description. Students are responsible for completing all prerequisites prior to enrolling in an advance course. For some courses, the student registration will prevent students from registering if prerequisites have not been completed. Regardless of whether or not the registration prevents a student from enrolling in a course, student will be responsible for the failure to adhere those prerequisites.


If you have a hold on your records, you may not register or, in many cases, obtain transcripts until that hold is cleared with the office imposing the hold. A hold may be imposed for financial, academic and disciplinary indebtedness to the institute.

Examination / Assessment Policy

Assessment is an integral part of a university education. Regular assessment provides an opportunity for students to gauge their understanding of course material, for instructors to determine what students have learned, and for the university to certify student achievement. Students require sufficient and timely feedback from instructors to be able to improve their performance and to make informed decisions about withdrawal, registration in subsequent semesters, and how to allocate their time within a course. Instructors at KASBIT have a long tradition of providing fair and accurate assessment, free of bias based on student ethnicity, religion, gender, gender preference, social class, disabilities, or other unrelated personal characteristics. This Assessment Policy provides procedures for the conduct and scheduling of formal assessments and for the reporting of grades. However, no policy can cover all eventualities. It is understood that this Policy must be interpreted humanely and sensitively.

Grading Policy for Postgraduate Courses

The grades of A, B, C, and D are assigned the grade-point equivalents by KASBIT. The following grading scale will be used to determine the satisfactory completion of the course: Grade Assigned Grade Point Percentage Range

Grade-Point Average (GPA)

Your grade-point average, or GPA, is determined by dividing the number of grade points earned by the number of units attempted. The number of grade points earned for a course equals the number of grade points assigned times the number of course units.

Cumulative Grade-Point Average (CGPA)

The CGPA is a measure of average academic performance for a collection of courses and is not the same type of measure as a grade for one course. CGPA specifies a good academic standing depending upon the number of academic terms completed. Graduation requirements includes a minimum GPA 2.0 in each semester and minimum final CGPA 2.0. The summer session will be utilized for the removal of deficiencies in semester GPA or final CGPA.

For Admission in MBA Program the applicant must have completed 14 years of education with minimum 2nd division

The Applicant has to take institute based admission test, the applicant shall be called  for a final interview, in which his/her admission shall be confirmed.
